The Wi-Fi installation project in the company's San Francisco office was carried out using high quality Ubiquiti equipment. 16 Ubiquiti U6 Pro access points, a Pro Max 24 PoE switch and a Dream Machine Pro controller were installed to ensure uninterrupted and high-speed wireless connectivity.
The project execution phases were:
1. Survey using Ekahau Sidekick:
Prior to installation, we conducted a thorough survey using Ekahau Sidekick to analyze the current state of the network and identify weak coverage areas. Using professional Ekahau equipment, accurate data was collected on bandwidth, interference and signal levels at the site.
2. Developing a solution based on the report:
Based on the survey report, we identified problem areas that were preventing the Wi-Fi network from performing optimally. We offered the client two options to solve the problem - the first option involved basic coverage and performance improvements, while the second option involved advanced features with improved security and maximized throughput. Both solutions were presented to the client in detail with cost calculations and implementation timelines.
3. Installation of access points and network equipment:
As part of the project implementation, 16 Ubiquiti U6 Pro access points were installed to provide strong Wi-Fi coverage in the office. The Pro Max 24 PoE switch allowed all access points to be powered and managed through a single cable, simplifying the infrastructure. The Dream Machine Pro controller was integrated to provide centralized network management and high-level security.
Results:
As a result of this project, the client received a stable, high-performance and secure wireless network that meets all requirements. Thorough inspection and professional configuration of the equipment allowed to eliminate problem areas and ensure uniform coverage throughout the office. The solution fully met the company's needs for a reliable Wi-Fi infrastructure ready to support heavy loads and further scaling.
