All work is performed with certified, calibrated test equipment from industry-leading manufacturers.

A cable that “works” is not a certified cable

Many network failures start at the physical layer. Without proper certification testing, you're leaving your infrastructure to chance.

Continuity ≠ performance

A basic continuity test shows the cable is connected, but it doesn't verify that it supports 10 Gigabit speeds or meets TIA/ISO performance parameters.

Warranty requirements

Many manufacturers require documented certification by a qualified technician. No certification, no warranty claim if something fails.

The cost of downtime

A down network stops your business. A single bad termination can take an entire floor offline.

Physical layer audit

Full inspection of racks, patch panels, cable management and labeling to ensure compliance with the TIA-606-C administration standard.

Signal integrity testing

Detailed measurement of crosstalk, Return Loss and insertion loss to verify performance at rated speeds.

Standards compliance

Verification that your installation meets TIA-568-D and ISO/IEC 11801 requirements for enterprise cabling systems.

Our certification process

A rigorous process so every link in your building is certified and documented

1. Site preparation

We survey your existing infrastructure, identify every test point and define the cable labeling scheme per TIA-606.

On site

2. High-precision testing

Using Softing WireXpert certifiers, we measure each link's performance across the full required frequency range.

Link-by-link testing

3. Fault resolution

Failing links are diagnosed using graphical test results, repaired and retested until they pass.

Per-link diagnostics

4. Final verification

We verify that every cable meets the frequency range required for its category.

All parameters verified

5. PDF reports

You receive full technical detail for every link: Pass/Fail status, graphs and measurements.

Per-link results

6. Warranty support

Our certification reports serve as documented proof of quality for manufacturer warranty claims.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need certification and not just a basic test?

Certification verifies that installed cabling meets TIA-568 or ISO 11801 performance standards — not just that it's connected. We measure crosstalk, Return Loss, insertion loss and other parameters across the full frequency range. It's how you prove your cables support the speeds they were designed for and qualify for manufacturer warranties.

How long does certification take?

For a typical office of 50 to 100 drops, certification time depends on the number of drops and the complexity of the site. We quote based on volume and site conditions and deliver PDF reports when testing is complete.

What if a cable fails certification?

We diagnose the fault using graphical test results, which help pinpoint the problem. Then we repair or re-terminate the connection and retest until it passes.

What documentation will I receive?

You receive a detailed PDF report for every tested link, including Pass/Fail status, all measured values (NEXT, Return Loss, etc.), frequency graphs, cable length and any anomalies found. These reports support warranty claims with the manufacturer.

Up to what category do you certify copper?

Our Softing WireXpert MP C6A certifies up to Cat6A / Class EA, and with the Softing WireXpert 4500 C7A we go up to Cat7A / Class FA. That covers today's copper cabling standards for enterprise networks.

Do you certify fiber optic cabling?

Yes. We perform Tier 1 (OLTS) loss and length certification on singlemode and multimode fiber with the Softing WireXpert MP FQ. Every link is documented in a PDF report.
